How it all began
On a brisk winter day in 2020, Sanjana and Mitchell swiped right. A few days later, they met at a speakeasy for drinks. After an awkward first interaction with the bartender, they were able to laugh it off and have a good time. Mitchell was quickly taken by Sanjana and how she was smart, cute, and put together. Sanjana loved how genuine Mitchell seemed and that he was a good storyteller, listener, and rocked skinny jeans.
After spending more time together on their first date than either expected (and ending the night down the street with dumplings), our heroes started a whirlwind six weeks of romance before the world came crashing to a halt for the pandemic.
Blissfully unaware of how long the world would be still, Sanjana and Mitchell spent hours every day talking on the phone and making plans for when they’d see each other again. More than two months later, they were finally reunited in a park in Brooklyn, thankfully halfway between their two apartments. After a few more months of seeing each other every weekend, they concocted their big escape: Vermont! One adventure led to another and soon enough, they moved in together in a lovely little apartment in Park Slope.
And the rest is history
After learning to live together, they got engaged in April 2023 back where it all began: the park in Brooklyn.
Although Sanjana didn’t want to go to the park that day (it was cold and rainy), they are both glad she did.
